July 1, 1935 - June 12, 2026It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William James Edgar Barclay, affectionately known as Will or Bill and Dadad. Will passed away peacefully at Carpenter Hospice, just short of his 91st birthday.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, his children, Susan, John, Anne, and Bruce; his grandchildren, Victoria, Jessica, Richard, James, Steven, Gabriela, Maxine, and Adam; and his great-grandchildren, Colton, Emily, Brooke, Tanner, and Rory.
Will was the eldest of three and the beloved brother of Margaret Prentice (deceased) and Dorothy Ryan, his nieces and nephew.
He will be remembered for his extraordinary generosity, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. Those closest to him will fondly remember his dry wit and perfectly timed humorous 'one-liners'. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
We would like to express our gratitude to Acclaim Health and Carpenter Hospice for their kind and caring attention.
A funeral mass will be held at St Paul the Apostle, Headon Road, Burlington, on Thursday 25 June at 1:00pm, followed by a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Carpenters Hospice would be much appreciated.
