Cecile, Charles Pierre
March 23, 1952 - June 11, 2026With deep sorrow, we announce that Charles succumbed to cancer June 11, 2026, at the age of 74. He was the loving husband to Elizabeth Snell and a wonderful father to John, Robert and Thomas Cecile.
Charles was born in Windsor, the second of nine children of Théobald and Marguerite Cecile. Charles is greatly missed by his siblings, Robert (Sandra), Arthur, Louis, Philippe (Sherri), Jean Pierre (Julie), Joseph, Marie (Mike), and Jeanne (Dan). He was also loved by his Snell brothers-in-law, Robert (Barbara) and William (Janice) and by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Charles was a keen naturalist. His career was as a field biologist, and he quietly shared his knowledge and passion with his friends and extended family. In his retirement, he spent many enjoyable hours in woodlands and wetlands updating the plant list of Wellington County. Charles was a thoughtful man, always concerned with the welfare of others. A truly gentle man.
The family will have a private celebration of Charles’ life. His kindness enriched us all.
