Desjardins, Robert (Bob)
May 28, 1946 - July 28, 2025After battling many health issues Robert (Bob) Desjardins passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 28, 2025, in his 80th year. Born in Ramore, Ontario Bob was predeceased by parents, Andre and Antoinette Desjardins and in-laws Antonio and Sofia Ciuro. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Rose (nee Ciuro), and daughter, Sofia (Randolph) Davey, and son, Dino (Elizabeth) Desjardins, and 8 grandchildren Nicholas (Sukanya), Amanda, Emily, Matthew, Joshua, Scott, Fiona and Luca. Dear brother to Monique (Sandor) and Ron (Simone) and predeceased sister Lise. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-laws Nancy (Ken), Silvana (Ken), and brother-in-law Sandy (George), along with many nieces and nephews.
He loved his dogs Nemo and Lucky who were always by his side. Bob was a previous resident of Manitouwadge, Ontario where he operated Union Taxi for 9 years, and enjoyed being outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish. Bob was known as our family handy-man and he always took life with a sense of humour and wit.
Cremation has taken place and funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 7, 2025 at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 620 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, Ontario. Private family interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
