With deep sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of our beautiful Penny on July 6, 2026.
Penny was creative, brave, strong, and wonderfully spirited. She was a force of nature who lived with passion, determination, and unforgettable energy. Fiercely protective and guided by a strong sense of justice, she embraced life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She had a voracious appetite for music and found joy in dancing, high kicks, and art. Penny loved Neil deGrasse Tyson, the wonder of the Cosmos and finding comfort and inspiration in humanity's small but profound place in it.
Above all else, Penny loved her daughter, Lochlan. Being her mother was the greatest joy and purpose of her life. Her love was unwavering, fierce, and unconditional.
Penny will be deeply missed by her loving parents, Albert and Lynne Knox; her sisters, Julie (Dominic) and Laura (Sean); and her niece and nephews, Gavin, Abby, Owen, and Declan. She is also lovingly remembered by her Uncle Davis (Heather), Aunt Lyn (John), Uncle Gerry (predeceased by Sandy) and Aunt Debbie (Dalton); her cousins Bill (Carol), Ian, Neil, and Helen; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Her family would like to thank Kaitlyn, her palliative care nurse. She went above and beyond even after her role with Penny ended.
Hug your people, tell them you love them, and don't put off the things that matter. Life has a way of reminding us that tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
