Pravato, Paride “Paul” Antonio
January 8, 1939 - August 25, 2025It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paride “Paul” Antonio Pravato, who died peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 86 in Burlington, Ontario, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.
Paul began life’s journey on January 8, 1939, in Paese, Treviso, Italy, the 12th of 16 children born to Maria and Gustavo. At the age of 28, Paul set his sights on North America and immigrated to Toronto, ON, Canada. Seven short years later, he found the love of a lifetime in Lucia.
Paul was a devoted husband to Lucia, a proud father to his sons Yuri (Tracy), Parry, and Remy (Lindsay), and a loving Nonno to his cherished grandchildren Samuel, Liam, Jackson, Isabel, and Cashius. In addition, Paul will be fondly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A gifted painter by trade, “Paul the Painter” brought care and craftsmanship to everything he touched. His work was more than a profession - it was an expression of pride, dedication, and an unwavering attention to detail. Those who knew him will remember not only his skilled hands but also his quiet strength, humility, sense of humour, and the deep love he held for his family.
In keeping with Paul's wishes, his remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where friends and loved ones will gather to honour his memory and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
