August 18, 1935 – November 20, 2025Pat lived an incredible life. She was deeply loved and admired for her kindness, care and openness. She was a strong environmental activist, a devoted skier and knitter, beloved teacher, supreme pie maker, and a trail blazer for women in science and hockey! She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was an incredible mother to Lynn (Nabil) and Beth (Tom), grandmother to Meg, Shannon, Guthrie (Kelsey), Sam (Zach), Silas and Hayley and great grandmother to Brooklynn, Charlotte, Elliot and Octavia. She loved her Sunday chats with her brother, Bob, and sister-in-law, Jocelyne. She was a beloved aunt and adopted grandma to so many. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim, with whom she shared a passion for nature, travel, birds and fighting the good fight. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring when the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and the ferns are growing. She died of complications due to pneumonia with her daughters by her side. Donations in her name can be made to The Friends of Copeland Forest or Doctors without Borders.
