June 15, 1953 – November 21, 2025It is with deep love and profound sadness that we share the passing of Robert Duff, 72, of Palmerston, ON. Robert passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Guelph, ON, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 15, 1953, in Regina, SK, Robert was a devoted father, grandfather, neighbour, and friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.
Dad loved exploring local markets and had a way of turning even a simple outing into a small adventure. He frequently crossed paths with new people and seemed to make friends wherever he went. He was also an avid collector, and found joy in music, specifically fond of artists from the 1960s and 70s.
He taught us through example what it means to live with purpose. He approached every task, large or small, with pride and a deep sense of responsibility, believing that how you do something matters just as much as what you do.
Robert was a proud grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his grandson, Finn. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Drew, Clare (Mark), and Rob, who will hold his memory close and carry forward the love, humour, and warmth he brought into our lives.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathy; his mother, Norma; and his grandmother, Signe; as well as his beloved dog and companion, Nellie. Their memories remained close to Robert’s heart throughout his life.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for the care, compassion, and comfort they provided in his final days.
