Butler, Sharon
Butler, Sharon Ann
June 8, 1958 - September 17, 2025
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sharon Ann Butler (Littlejohn), on September 17, 2025. After a fierce and determined fight, she left this world as she lived—showing immense strength in the face of adversity. She remained employed throughout her treatments with stubborn determination, only stopping when the medications themselves made it impossible, a testament to her incredible will to live. She leaves behind a legacy defined by a superhuman work ethic and a determination that inspired all who knew her.
Born on June 8, 1958, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, to Raymond Littlejohn and Stella Noel (Ford), she was a woman of unwavering strength and profound generosity. A devoted and respected employee of Oakridge Golf Club for many years, she managed the restaurant as if it were her own and treated everyone there like family. Above all, Sharon was an incredible mother to Jamie Butler; Kellie Campbell (Ali Ehsanyar); Nicole Campbell (Tyler Blackwood); and Teddy Butler (Hayley). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tyler Butler, Joshua Baker, Kayla Butler, Madison Irwin, Kelsey Butler, Kyle Blackwood, Ryder Blackwood, Hunter Butler, Dakota Butler, Mason Butler, and Olivia Ehsanyar, and was blessed with the joy of her great-grandchildren, Conner Butler, McKinley Payne, Kaycee Payne, and James Butler. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie, and her brother, Raymond.
The family extends a special and eternal gratitude to Sam, wife of her grandson Tyler. What began as a spirited bond between an angel and an adversary blossomed into the deepest of friendships. She earned her place as Mom’s adopted daughter and became her dedicated caretaker, providing unwavering love and support right to the very end.
Sharon will be remembered for her resilient spirit and her sharp wit. She lived an authentic life and was immensely selfless. She found joy in creativity, from crafting and designing home decor to shopping, cooking, and baking her famous secret-recipe cookies. Her greatest joy was the Christmas season, which she loved in all its facets, creating magic for her family.
She taught us the importance of showing up and never, ever giving up—lessons we will carry forever. Her hands were rarely still, always working, creating, or comforting, a testament to her incredible drive and deep love.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the future (details to come). All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Sharon’s spirit this Christmas by finding someone in need and giving them a helping hand, a moment of kindness, or a reason to smile. Help us carry her torch of generosity and love so that her spirit may rest, knowing the light she brought to the world continues to shine.
Cheers, Mom. This one's for you.
