February 12, 1957 – August 29, 2025With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Sands on August 29th, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his devoted wife Donna, four children Theresa, Sarah, Rebecca and Andrew, and granddaughters Xearah and Zendaya. Born on February 12,1957, Scott was the fourth of six children. He is survived by siblings Sandy, John (Margriet), Kathy, Peter and Mike. He will be sadly missed by mother-in-law Gladys, sister-in-law Diane (Leon), and brothers-in-law Don (Carol) and Dave, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
He loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and cherished his beloved dogs, Barclay and Boston, who were always by his side. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially at a cottage where he could fish, boat, and bask in the sun to his heart's content. He will be remembered for his wit and sense of humour, which he carried with him until the end.
Scott found peace in his final days in palliative care at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, where he was able to maintain his dignity in a compassionate and supportive environment. The staff were wonderful, and the kindness they showed during his final journey will never be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
