Pall, Roslyn

Pall, Roslyn (nee Horowitz)
July 25, 1941 – December 3, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights Nursing Home on December 3rd, 2025, at the age of 84 years.

Roslyn was predeceased by her loving husband Larry Pall, whom she adored. She is lovingly remembered by her many friends, and family.

Roslyn was born in New York City and went to school at the prestigious Hunter College High School. She loved everything about New York City and took in all that it had to offer. After graduating high school Roslyn followed her love of the arts and became an apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre. From there Roslyn naturally found her way into the film industry where she was a script supervisor, and where she found the love of her life Larry Pall. Larry was a renowned cameraman, and they fell fast in love, and were inseparable. As the film industry in Canada blossomed in the 70’s Roz and Larry found themselves moving to Erin, ON, to help create films in Canada. Roslyn loved rural living, which allowed her to follow her passion of breeding dogs. Her beloved Borzoi’s won Roslyn awards and medals, bringing her great pride and happiness. Later, Roslyn and Larry moved north of Acton, ON, and Roslyn joined the Halton Police Service as a front desk clerk. Roslyn’s unique sense of humour and intellect quickly made her a favorite at the police station. Roz’s quick wit and knowing smile always brought a smile to those around her. After Larry’s passing, Roslyn stayed in their farmhouse enjoying the country life, adoring her beloved dog, Thea. In 2024 Roz moved to Guelph where she met many wonderful neighbours and friends.

In the spring of 2025 Roslyn fell ill and transitioned to Stirling Heights Nursing home, where she peacefully passed. An internment will take place in New Jersey, where Roslyn will be laid to rest beside her parents.

Special thanks to the very kind staff at Stirling Heights, who provided Roslyn with beautiful care. Also, special thanks to the many friends and family that were there for Roz throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
