September 15, 1957 - August 2, 2026In his sleep with his partner Donna at his side at Hospice Waterloo, Gies Family Centre, on August 2, far too soon in his 69th year, after living with Glioblastoma. Beloved father of Benjamin Corsano (Brooke Pascoe) and partner of Donna Barber. Pre-deceased by wife Wendy Corsano, father Martin Corsano and sister Sandara Corsano. Son of Geraldine Corsano, brother of Karen Corsano (Steven Murdoch) and Donna Corsano (Peter Delouw) and uncle to Dana Murdoch (Benjamin Dyer) & Pat Murdoch (Cammille Hutcheson).
Born in Toronto on September 15, 1957, Robert enjoyed downhill skiing, rugby and tennis in his earlier years, and being a father to Ben above all. He was very fortunate to have such great women in his life (Wendy & Donna) who shared his journey and were great partners to him. Robert began his career as an accountant and spent years working at BlackBerry. He had a great sense of humor and was an awesome cook. He enjoyed quoting Monty Python, playing video games and always had time to drive everyone around. Robert enjoyed his life and handled his illness with courage and wit. He would prefer that you not be sad, but that you tell a story about him, have a laugh, and eat a chocolate chip cookie. Remember him for the father and partner he was and not what the illness took.
Celebration of life to be held at the Community of Christ Church - 414 Fisher-Hallman Rd. Kitchener, ON on Friday August 14, 2026 from 2 – 5 p.m.
