Mann, Rick
Mann, Richard (Rick)
February 17, 1953 – October 9, 2025It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Mann, who left us peacefully on October 9th, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Rick will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Rhonda Mann; his children Dallas (Jeff) Borris and Mike (Janine) Mann; and his stepdaughters Andrea (Kevin) and Holly (Adam). He was a proud grandfather to his six grandsons, who brought him much joy.
He is survived by his brother Ron (Liette) Mann, and predeceased by his loving parents, Ruth and Robert Mann.
Rick spent 50 years driving truck across Canada and the USA, taking great pride in his work and the freedom of the open road, before retiring in 2019. He found beauty in the journey—never in a rush, always taking time to appreciate the simple things in life.
Rick had a love of NASCAR and enjoyed traveling to watch races, sharing the excitement and camaraderie of the sport with family and friends.
In his final years, Rick found peace and happiness living in Goderich, where he treasured his “lake time” with close friends at the Bluffs. Whether sharing stories, laughing over rye and games with friends, or simply enjoying the moment, Rick valued connection and contentment above all else.
He will be remembered for his easygoing nature, warm heart, and the steady way he made those around him feel cared for and at ease.
As per Rick’s request, there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, at the New Hamburg Legion, 65 Boullee St, New Hamburg, Ontario, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to slow down, watch a sunset, or share a story with a friend—just as Rick would have wanted.
