Staten, Norvil Bernard
September 22, 1960 - January 28, 2026It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norvil Bernard Staten on January 28, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer.
Norv was born in Hamilton, Ontario, on September 22, 1960. His daughter Ashley (Jake) and his grandchildren Hannah, Ryder, and Maci will always cherish their time with him. He will be greatly missed by his father, Bernard (Helen); his siblings, Larry, Karen, and Dawn; his brother-in-law, Denis; and his niece and nephews, Megan, Darryl, and Brian. He will be fondly remembered by all of his extended family in New Brunswick, a place that he loved so deeply. Predeceased by his two loving mothers, Patsy and Faye. Loved so much by his loyal dog Wyatt.
Norv was a long-haired, country-loving, car-fixing, hat-wearing guy who was everybody's best friend. He touched the lives of so many people in a positive way, and he will truly be missed by all. A special mention goes out to all the boys! You all were everything to him. The celebration of life will be April 11, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Smithville Legion.
