Jaworski, Leszek

Jaworski, Leszek (Les) George
September 12, 1950 – March 14, 2026
“Gone fishing” — and likely already casting a line somewhere peaceful.

Les passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He is now reunited with his parents, Irena and Zbigniew “Bob” Jaworski, who predeceased him.

He was a proud and devoted father to Adam (Lindsay) and Mathew (Sarah), and a loving grandfather to Makaio and Theodore, and a loving grandfather to many a Great Dane, all of whom brought him endless joy. Les is also survived by his siblings Mark (Linda), Adam (Teija), and Grace (Gary), and will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

A very special and heartfelt mention is reserved for Rosalind, his beloved friend who became family. She was a constant source of strength and support for Les, especially in his final chapter, standing by him with care, patience, and unwavering dedication. Rosalind had a unique way of keeping Les in line while filling his days with companionship, laughter, and comfort.

Family meant everything to Les. His greatest happiness was found in time spent with those he loved, whether gathered around the table, sharing stories, or enjoying life’s simple moments. When he wasn’t with family, you could often find him doing what he loved most — fishing or capturing the beauty of the world through his camera lens.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Les.

In honour of Les, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Polish Hall (265 Avenue Rd) in Cambridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge Humane Society or Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.

He may be gone from our sight, but somewhere, the fish are biting — and Les is right where he wants to be.
