Dubrosky, Leslie (Les) Daniel
Sept 12, 1944 – February 5, 2026Les peacefully went to sleep surrounded by his wife, daughter and son-in-law on February 5, 2026 at Juravinski hospital.
Les was born in Windsor Ontario to Leslie & Florence Dubrosky. With his parents and his sister, Susan, he grew up in various parts of Quebec and Ontario.
Les married Sandra McKay in 1965 in Toronto. They have lived a full life together for just short of 61 years. He loved Sandra with his whole heart and never stopped looking for ways to make her happy. Sandra affectionately called him Big Daddy to everyone. Together they raised 3 sons and a daughter - Mark, Pamela, Kevin & Jason.
Les’ life was full of faith and love for people. He enjoyed teaching & shepherding in the congregation and sharing his faith with others. He served others as an elder for many decades. He did whatever work was needed to care for his family from factory work, cleaning and courier. He especially enjoyed driving.
Les & Sandra moved many times but in each new location, they filled their lives with friends and congregation activities. They have many friends and special memories from the many congregations that they have been part of in Toronto, Acton, Mississauga, Brantford, Waterford, Paris, Cambridge, St. Thomas & Hamilton.
Les enjoyed decorating and each new home was lovingly painted, trimmed and styled with his flair and attention to detail. His artistic gifts showed up in his photography and hand-made stained glass lamps. He loved the simple things – a warm and cozy home, a clean polished car, a tasty meal and fun music.
Les has been a loving husband, caring father and loyal friend. His gentle, unpretentious way with people, big heart, quiet wisdom and perseverance will be missed terribly by family and friends until we are all together again.
An in-person memorial will be held on February 28, 2026 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 277 Stone Church Rd W, Hamilton ON.
