September 28, 1955 – November 10, 2025It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden passing of Irene A. Ferreira, on Monday, November 10, 2025, in her 70th year, at the Juravinski Hospital. She is now reunited with her beloved husband David Ferreira and her late son David Ferreira. Beloved mother of Dianne (Marc and Roger), Doting Grandmother to Steven, Andrew, and Madison. Dear sister to Mario (Late Lana), Palmira Late (Late Bob), Elizette (Antonio), the late Antonio (late Debbie), Joseph (late Maria), Late Anna (AL), Marylou (Late Richard, Scott), and Manny (Helena). Dear sister -in law to Maria (John). Aunt to many nieces and nephews, Mark, Jamie, Christine, Brian, Eileen, Douglas, Christina, Jessica, Sara, Joe, Brandon, Kendall, Nick, Ashley and Joshua. She will be dearly missed by relatives from Portugal, and USA and all that knew her.
The (Canadian) family will hold a small celebration of life on a date that has yet to be determined. Then, in the spring of next year her family will bring Irene back to Somerset, Massachusetts USA where she will be laid to rest. A second celebration of life will be held there once a date has been determined.
