August 24, 1948 - July 19, 2025If the afterlife has a highway, you can bet he's already riding down it on a Harley! Donald Grant McLean, born August 24, 1948 in Milton, Ontario passed away peacefully at home in Rockwood, Ontario on July 19, 2025 at the age of 76. Family was everything. Grant was the son of the late Don and Lily, husband to the late Jacalyn and partner to Sherry whose journey with him was cut far too short. Amazing Dad to James (Susan) and Mike (Pat). Proud and loving grandfather (Dada) to Addison, Jack and Benjamin. Loyal big brother to Terry (Harold), Joe (Brenda), Cam (Tosha), Randy and the late Bill. Uncle to Sean, Christina, Amy, Amanda, Danny, David, Scott, Andrew, Jesse and Kevin. Great Uncle to 19 nieces and nephews.
Always strummin’ – the guitar was never far – jammin’ with family and friends. An avid pool player and member of the Canadian Pool Association for 17 years, Grant played over 1650 matches. Dada also never turned down a chance to play any game with his grandkids. He was grounded and curious, warm and kind, generous and caring. He was likely the coolest person you ever met!
A Celebration of Life will take place on what would have been his 77th birthday August 24, 2025 at the Real Deal Sports Bar and Billiards, 224 Victoria Road S, Guelph, Ontario from 1-4pm..
