Granger, Graham

Granger, Graham Ronald
May 26, 1935 - May 18, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Graham Ronald Granger, a cherished partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and neighbour, peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on May 18, 2025, in his 90th year.

Born on May 26, 1935 in Battersea, England. Graham emigrated to Canada with his family in 1947 and settled in Guelph. After attending Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute, he went on to work at Hart Chemical, and the City of Guelph, where he worked for over 25 years until his retirement.

In his younger years, Graham was an avid car enthusiast and belonged to a local car club, and over the years owned many different sports cars. Graham found joy in the outdoors in every season, whether he was cross-country skiing, skating, canoeing, sailing, swimming, mountain biking, or taking daily walks with his loyal dogs. Graham volunteered for many years as a Cub Leader, and Guelph Boat Club member, hence his love for the Grand River Cruises.

Graham was a loving father and is survived by Graham David Granger, Robin (Gabor) Egressy, Scott (Marie) Granger, and Laura Granger. He also had a special place in his heart for Crystal (Aleks) Paravinja. Graham had 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Graham was lucky to live along the Speed River, where he was able to remain, largely due to his partner and caregiver, Brenda.

Graham was predeceased by his father, Ronald, his mother Edith (nee Morling), his brother Edron (Ed), and his granddaughter, Reyna Lee Illerbrun.

Celebration of Life to take place a later date.
