October 10, 1942 – February 24, 2026It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gilles Courchesne at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 25 years to Lorraine LeGrand, and friend to her three sons, Glen, Michael, and Kyle. Gilles will forever be loved and missed by his siblings, Lucie Warring, Claude Courchesne (Anne), Helene Clark (Sinclair), Francine Costantini, Michel Courchesne (Deirdre), sister-in-law, Cairine Grantham and all of his nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by his parents, Alfred and Gabrielle Courchesne, brother Normand Courchesne and brother-in-law Dave Warring.
Gilles pursued his trade in his father’s footsteps. Those who knew him will agree that, when needed, he was always there to lend a hand. Gilles cared deeply for his family and was a friend to everyone who crossed his path. Gilles will be missed beyond measure and we will always cherish his memory.Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at Marquis Gardens, 1150 Rymal Road East on Sunday April 12 from 2 to 5pm.
