Matheson, Eunice Doris
September 6, 1927 – January 9, 2026It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Eunice Doris Matheson on January 9th,2026, at the age of 98, at Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario.
Beloved wife of the late John Matheson, cherished mother to Sharon (John) and Kenneth (Katerina), proud grandmother to John Charles (Christie) and Joshua (Paige), and delightful great-grandmother to Camille, Naomi, Zoey, Henry and Hugh.
A City of Nepean retiree, she made each of her 35,900 days on earth count. Mum lived a wonderful life supported by her family, faith, and friends. A special thanks to Mum’s friends from 80 Sandcastle: Kathy, Doreen, Judy, Thelma and Tania; her dear friends from Tremblant: Yvonne, Yvan and Audrey, Sandra and Al, Laurence, Gladys; and the congregation of Grace Anglican Church in Arundel. You all made Mum’s life so amazing, joyful, and meaningful.
In honour of Mum’s wishes, a funeral service/Communion will be held on January 17th, 2026, at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church, Burlington, ON at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon reception to follow. Interment at Memorial Gardens, in Ottawa, will be held in the Spring, with a private reception to follow.
