February 28, 1941 - May 22, 2025With sorrow we announce the passing of Edward C. Matheson on the rainy day of May 22, 2025 at Carpenter Hospice.
Left to morn his loss is his wife of 63 years Nikki (Barto), his son Steven (Vancouver), daughter Darcy-Lynne (Hamilton), son/grandson David (Nova Scotia), granddaughter Eliah (Hamilton), sister Dellie/Ben Haegeman (Winnipeg) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents (Winnipeg) and sister Angie Lievre (Edmonton).
Ed was employed with GE Appliances Winnipeg in 1959 and retired in Hamilton as Manager of National Sales in 2004. His life was filled with music, photography and travel. He played a tenor sax in a Winnipeg dance band in the 60's. His amazing record collection provided music for many social events. He loved filming and creating wonderful movies all could see. He organized amazing holiday adventures for his wife and children.
Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal Funeral Service will be held. We express our thanks to Dr. G.K. Janz, Burlington, Ontario, for his many years of care.
