January 7, 1957 - July 28, 2025With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Thomas Boyd on July 28, 2025, with his beloved daughter Samantha (James Boers) and devoted wife Christine by his side.
Born on January 7, 1957, Bert was truly one of a kind—a legend to those who knew and loved him. He had a great sense of humour, a heart full of love, and an unmatched ability to make people laugh. His humor lives on in the stories he told, the joy he spread, and in his daughter, who carries his comedic spirit forward.
Survived by siblings Mike (Lynda), Jim (Lorraine), Steve (Carol) Gail (Steve Misener), Patrick (Elaine), and Jeff (Erika). Many nieces, nephews, g. nieces and g. nephews. Also survived by his Aunt Noella Miller, Aunt Donna O'Rielley and many, many cousins.
Bert found peace in his final days at Emmanuel House Hospice, where he was able to maintain his dignity in the most compassionate and supportive environment imaginable. The staff there are truly exceptional people, and the kindness they showed during his final journey will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 7th, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Pat & Elaine Boyd's house. We invite all who knew Bert to join us in sharing memories, laughter and love in honour of a man who brought so much of all three into our lives.
Rest easy, your stories will live on, and so will the laughter.
