McBride, Shawn Marie
October 7, 1952 – October 21, 2026It is with great sadness that we share the news of Shawn’s (Shawna’s) sudden passing at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton in her 74th year.
She is cherished now and in memory by her three children – Abner Lepore, Christina Agha, and Jewel Lepore as well as her brother Kevin McBride, and would have been deeply missed by her late mother, Adrian McBride.
Shawna had a wonderful and fulfilling life. She started her career as an actress and a singer in the Toronto cast of the play Hair in the early 70s. She later traveled the world and ultimately settled in Guam, USA, where she helped found a music studio where they created commercial jingles to which she wrote lyrics and sang the vocals.
Finally, she returned to Canada where her focus was on raising her three children as a mother and home maker.
Along with being a loving mother, Shawna was a professional singer, a recording artist, a world traveller - and in her faith, a devout Christian who took great comfort in the bible.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
