McArthur, Karen
In Loving Memory of Karen
January 23, 1977 - October 15, 2026It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Karen, a beloved wife, stepmother, daughter, and friend whose kindness and love touched the lives of so many.
Karen was an amazing woman who always put others before herself. She had a special way of making people feel cared for and understood, whether through her thoughtful advice, her willingness to listen, or simply the way she could always find the good in life. No matter the circumstances, Karen had a gift for seeing the positive and reminding those around her of what truly mattered. Her warmth, wisdom, and generous heart made her someone people could always turn to.
Growing up on a farm near Port Elgin, Karen developed a deep love for animals, the outdoors, and the simple beauty of farm life. She worked at the pig barn in Port Elgin where she was responsible for caring and raising young pigs. Those early experiences helped shape the woman she became and instilled in her an appreciation for the world around her. Karen’s green thumb was noticed by all as she always had the most beautiful plants growing around her properties. Her connection to the outdoors and the things she loved remained an important part of who she was.
Karen was also a dedicated business owner who worked alongside her husband, Jeff, in their printing company. She took great pride in her work and approached everything she did with determination, organization, and a strong sense of responsibility. Driven and hardworking, Karen was committed to doing things well and gave her best to the business she and Jeff shared. Her dedication, attention to detail, and ability to keep things organized were an important part of both her professional life and the partnership they built together. The work they shared was another reflection of Karen’s commitment, perseverance, and the life they created side by side.
Above all, Karen will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the lasting impact she had on the people closest to her. She leaves behind her loving husband, Jeff; her stepchildren, Jake, Josh and Jess; her parents, Don and Nancy Mcarther; her Aunt and Uncle Neeva and Duncan; predeceased by her brother Kevin Mcarther (Dec 25, 1975) and her grandmother Ruby Mcarther. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Although Karen is no longer with us, the lessons she taught, the advice she shared, and the kindness she showed will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Her ability to find good in life is a gift she leaves behind, one that will continue to inspire her family in the days and years ahead.
Karen's presence will be missed more than words can express, but her love and memory will remain forever. Rest peacefully, Karen. You were loved more than you knew, and you will never be forgotten.
